Sometimes I call myself your average yogi. I didn't come to yoga because I injured myself playing collegiate basketball or needed a something different after 15 years of ballet. Instead, I'm a type-A person that needed some refuge from my mind. Maybe you can relate.

my approach
precision + breath (with big dollop of enthusiasm) = freedom
That's my shorthand for how I teach. I teach a strong class, whether it's to beginners or longstanding practitioners. I believe giving clear instruction and consistent emphasis on the breath gives the mind and body something to work with, something to focus on.
